Recent studies have shown that people taking Diclofenac for pain relief, AND have risk factors for heart disease such as high blood pressure, smoking, high cholesterol and a family history of heart disease should stop taking this medicine and consult their GPs. Short term use by younger people however does not pose a significant risk.
